(Yahoo!) - He's got the moves like Jagger, and apparently the looks like Clooney, Pitt, and Tatum!
Yes, Adam Levine has been awarded People magazine's biggest compliment: He is 2013's Sexiest Man Alive.
Though rumors started to swirl about the title weeks ago, the musician's sexy moniker was officially confirmed during Tuesday night's episode of "The Voice."
"As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn't really think that this was on the table," the Maroon 5 frontman, 34, who joins the likes of last year's winner, Channing Tatum, as well as Bradley Cooper, Matt Damon, Ryan Reynolds, and two-time winners George Clooney and Brad Pitt, tells People.
"I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren't, so that's cool."
Aside from Levine's crooning pipes, the mag credits "The Voice" coach's sensitive side (he cries at movies, especially "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial"), his love of nudity, and his truly toned (and tatted) body for making him worthy of this year's title.
The "Payphone" singer says his hot bod is the result of dutiful yoga and spinning sessions — which makes his fiancé, Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo, all the luckier.
"I didn't think marriage was for me for a long time," Levine, who famously declared his intention to never tie the knot before popping the question to Prinsloo this summer, reveals. "I was ready when I was ready. That's about as simple as it could possibly be."
Not simple? His fellow "The Voice" judges' reactions to their peer's new "Sexy" title.
"This is why I drink so much, he stole my thunder," Blake Shelton joked.
But that couldn't keep Levine down. "I feel sexy," he responded after host Carson Daley unveiled his cover star turn. He even consoled bestie Blake by saying, "You're the sexiest man in my book."
"I think you're beautiful for what's on the inside," Shelton responded.
Who do you think is the sexiest man alive?
