Kesha Breaks Down In Tears During Debut Performance Of 'Woman'

Kesha performed "Woman" for the very first time and, as you can imagine, the pop superstar was filled with so much emotion during her performance of the comeback track that she started to shed some tears.

During her show in the Stir Cove in Iowa on Thursday (July 20), the 30-year-old pop star offered the audience with a string of her hits, including "Take It Off," "We R Who We R," "Dinosaur" and "Tik Tok" alongside her band, The Creepes. However, the debut performance of "Woman" is what's making headlines around the blogosphere.

"It's been so long since I got to perform new music. We're gonna probably [perform it]. Here’s the thing: It could suck," she said when introducing the song, before she starting to cry tears of happiness. It prompted a chant from the audience and was followed by a high-energy performance of the single, which is currently at the No. 86 spot on iTunes as "Praying" sits at the No. 45 position.

Kesha's been giving us small hints of the release of "Woman," particularly with this throwback clip of a speech she made in October 2016. "I really think this person thought I'd just lay down and take it and I would just sit around waiting to die and just give up on my music and give up on my fans and I'm not," she told the audience at the time of her longtime collaborator and alleged abuser Dr. Luke. "I just want you to know that that somebody f**ked with the wrong woman. I'm fighting like f**k to give you this music, so please don't give up on me."
