Hand in Hand is hosting their 14th annual Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, February 4th from 3-6 PM at the Fair Center at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.
This year’s cook-off will feature chili from over 15 local teams including some old favorites as well as a few newcomers this year. Attendees of the Chili Cook-off can vote for their favorites while enjoying a silent auction, raffles, a kid’s zone, a wine and beer pull, and more! Tickets are $15 per person, $5 for children 5-12 years of age, and children 4 years and under free. Tickets are available at the door or can be purchased at Hand in Hand’s website at www.handinhandqc.org/chili-cook-off.
This annual fundraiser benefits Hand in Hand’s inclusive programs and empowers children and adults of all abilities to learn and grow while supporting families. Hand in Hand offers childcare, a summer camp, after-school care, an adult volunteer program called People with Purpose, an After School Club, and many evening and weekend programs. These programs not only provide participants with an opportunity to gain self-esteem, improve social skills, and gain independence while having fun with their friends, but also gives parents and primary caregivers respite from their caregiving duties so they can work, run errands, or have time to themselves.
