ZAYN Teams Up With Nicki Minaj For EDM-Charged 'No Candle No Light' Collab

Nicki Minaj's shout-out to ZAYN on Ariana Grande's "Bed" has prompted the release of a high-energy collab between the pair called "No Candle No Light."

On Thursday (November 15), the former One Direction bandmate and rapper released the EDM-charged new track and it hears the pair dive into some romantic frustrations. Produced by Sawry, Brian Lee & TJ Routon, the cut showcases the duo singing side-by-side throughout the entire track. They only stop momentarily after the post-hook instrumental break, which seems to lift a page from Justin Bieber's 2015 Jack Ü collaboration "Where R Ü Now." "I, I woke up on the wrong side of ya/ You don't even know that I left, do ya?/ Can't handle my love/ Can't handle your lies/ No friend zone to my love/ Quit burning all of my time/ I, I woke up on the wrong side of ya," they sing in unison during the chorus.

"No Candle No Light" follows the release of several one-off ZAYN singles, including "Fingers," "Too Much" and "Sour Diesel."

Earlier this month, ZAYN took to Twitter to share some frustrations about the delayed release of his sophomore album, writing, "I hear you guys.. I know you want a date for the album and I do too. The label is holding me back but I promise I am doing everything I can to get my music to you. Thankyou.. You will hear from me soon."
