The general public is invited to paint the names of loved ones affected by cancer on the ice in pink.
Ice painting is free of charge.
Names will remain in the ice for the Mallards’ home games Friday and Saturday.
The Mallards will wear special edition pink jerseys in their games Friday and Saturday. Jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit the Genesis Health Services Foundation immediately after Saturday night’s game.
$5 from every lower bowl (horseshoe) ticket for the games Friday and Saturday purchased by calling the Mallards at 309-277-1327 will go to Susan G. Komen, Gilda’s Club and NormaLeah Ovarian Cancer Initiative.
