The First Alert Forecast from Meteorologist Kevin Phelps
Scattered storms will continue off and on this morning and move east through midday. There should be a break in storm activity for a few hours this afternoon allowing the atmosphere to recover enough for more storms to develop late this afternoon and evening. Football field could be soggy in some areas and if you don’t see rain today it will be hot and humid with it feeling close to 90°, even at kick off. Widespread heavy rain is likely this weekend. The heavy rain looks to arrive Saturday afternoon and continue into Sunday morning. This could impact weekend events now, both Saturday and Sunday all while also leading to a flash flood threat over areas that have already seen quite a bit of rain this week. We will dry it out on Monday as fall officially arrives early in the morning.
TODAY: Scattered storms. 87° Winds: S 5-10 mph.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy. Low 69°. Winds: S 5-10 mph.
TOMORROW: Heavy rain. High 75°.
