The saga of Carson King has found new life.
After raising over $3-million for charity thanks to his beer money plea on College Gameday, King has found glory once again. Mike Schonhorst owns an insurance company in Huxley, Iowa and was taken with King’s story – especially when that a-hole “Des Moines Register” reporter tried to destroy his life. So, Schonhorst dug deep and graced King with 30 cases of Busch Light.
That equates to 720 cans…or 2 beers a day.
The act of kindness cost Schonhorst $600, but when the Fareway store manager where the beer was purchased found out who it was for…he contributed $100 to the cause. Real men of genius.
King remarked on Twitter that the sight of the 30 cases of Busch Light was “beautiful.” He is thankful for Schonhorst’s generosity.
“The generosity of everyone is overwhelming. Mike is the man. Mike, thank you so much. Iowa Nice is so, so real. Oh and for everyone worried about it not being enough for a year’s supply, I promise to drink responsibly,” said King.
