Help Alexis Find A Bone Marrow Match!

This morning we talked to Ricardo about his daughter Alexis who is in need of a bone marrow transplant as she battles leukemia. While there's 19 million potential donors on the Be The Match bone marrow registry, none are a perfect match for her. Normally, a family member would be a match, but Ricardo is only a 50% match and they are looking for someone that's a 100% match. They only have 3 weeks to find a match otherwise Ricardo will do it and there's no guarantee it will work.

Alexis is 22 years old who just graduated from Syracuse University and accepted a job in film production. Her world was turned upside down the day after graduation when she was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She thought she was just dealing with the stress of her senior year in college, little did she know that she was actually fighting cancer for the past year. Alexis started her treatment in Syracuse, but she was able to come home to Southern California and is currently receiving treatment at City of Hope.

The type of leukemia Alexis is fighting is rare and are asking for people to get tested and join the registry to find a perfect match. You can join the registry here or text CURE ALEXIS to 61474 and you'll be taken to the link. Alexis' family is holding a live event with Be The Match and you can see the info below:
