Jennifer Lopez knows how to harness the power of social media.
After word broke that the entertainer, 51, and Alex Rodriguez, 45, called off their engagement, the pop titan took to TikTok on Sunday (March 14) to share a montage of steamy shots and clips to the tune of Saweetie's "Pretty Bitch Music," and the post included headlines about the split. After the rapper’s line (“I ain’t worried about a blog”), Lopez's video flashed the Page Six headline about her breakup with Rodriguez. "Sunday brunch playlist," Lopez captioned the post, which was also shared on her Instagram account to her 146 million followers.
Lopez and Rodriguez got engaged in March 2019 after two years of dating. Rumors of their breakup arrived a few days after the two-year anniversary of their engagement.
Earlier in the weekend, Lopez and Rodriguez tried to calm the rumor mill by releasing a joint statement, saying, "All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things." Meanwhile, a source has come forward to admit that the pair are indeed figuring out their romance at the moment. "They are trying to work through things… but it’s unclear if that means they are staying together," an insider revealed.
