(Coal Valley, IL) -- The Rock Island County board is granting 400-thousand-dollars in American Rescue Plan funding to Niabi Zoo to rebuild after January's 25-inch snowstorm.

The total cost to repair the damage is more than two-point-two-million-dollars.

Repairs are underway on several exhibits, but the zoo still needs just over a million dollars to complete repairs.
