Shakira recently cancelled three tour dates as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour that began less than a month ago.

The "Hips Don't Lie" hitmaker revealed the real reason she's had to postpone the concerts, specifically two back-to-back shows in Santiago, Chile, scheduled for March 2 and 3, in a post shared to Twitter on Monday (March 3), zooming in on production issues.

"You all, who have accompanied me for thirty years, know more than anyone my professionalism and how much I strive to give you the best. You can only imagine how painful it is for me as an artist after so much effort to come to a country I love and have to reprogram my show for circumstances out of my and my production team’s control."

The "She Wolf" standout continued, remarking on concert components that she would "never compromise," and how heartbroken she was to postpone the shows.

"There are two things I would never compromise: the security of my team and that of my fans, and I would never offer a show below the quality standards that you all deserve. My heart is broken in a thousand pieces to not be able to perform for you due to reasons out of my control."

The icon assured that she would return to Chile to play a full show even if she had to inspect the venue herself! The 48-year-old mother-of-two is slated to perform in Buenos Aires, Argentina on March 7 and 8, per People.
