Kyle MacLachlan decided to hand off his plate of ribs to Ed Helms during one of several hilarious moments of the iHeartPodcast Awards.
On Monday night, March 10, the iHeartPodcast Awards went down in Austin, Texas during SXSW. Podcaster and actor Kyle MacLachlan was in the building to present Dan Taberski with the Audible Audio Pioneer Award and honored him for his work on shows like "Hysterical," "Missing Richard Simmons" and "Surviving Y2K." MacLachlan walked out on stage with a plate of ribs in his hands and took a few bites during his speech. Before he gave Taberski his award, MacLachlan hilariously passed them down to Ed Helms in the crowd.
"Hey man you hungry?" MacLachlan asked. Helms said yes and grabbed the plate while he was onstage.
Kyle MacLachlan made sure to wipe down the trophy before he handed it over to Taberski. However, there were still a few fingerprints left over from his meal. MacLachlan was one of several celebrity presenters at the awards show. Helms presented Sarah Spain with the Social Impact Award for her incredible sports coverage, stories about equal pay for female athletes and more. Dennis Quaid presented Peruvian-American journalist and novelist Daniel Alarcón with the Innovator Award for his on "The Good Whale." Chelsea Handler closed out the night by presenting "Las Culturistas with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang" with Podcast of the Year.
