It's official — Ted Lasso is returning for a fourth season.

Two years after airing its "final" season in 2023, Apple TV+ has announced the beloved series following celebrated coach Ted Lasso is coming back for a brand new season, with co-creator and executive producer Jason Sudeikis returning to reprise his role as the titular character.

"As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to 'look before we leap,' in season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it's exactly where they're meant to be," Sudeikis said in a press release.

Ted Lasso first premiered in 2020, following an American college football coach hired to manage a struggling British soccer team. It aired for three seasons before coming to an end in 2023, though the final episode was not billed as a series finale, which seemingly kept it open enough for a return in the future.

In addition to Sudeikis returning to the pitch, Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard), Toheeb Jimoh, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee and Bill Wrubel are set to executive produce with the new addition of Jack Burditt, while Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent) will write and executive produce alongside Leanne Bowen. No other casting announcements have been confirmed at this time, per Variety. A release date has also not been announced.

"Ted Lasso has been nothing short of a juggernaut, inspiring a passionate fanbase all over the world, and delivering endless joy and laughter, all while spreading kindness, compassion and unwavering belief," said head of programming for Apple TV+ Matt Cherniss. "Everyone at Apple is thrilled to be continuing our collaboration with Jason and the brilliant creative minds behind the show."
