Lynne Arriale, one of the best and most exciting jazz pianists around today is coming to the Redstone Room for a workshop, a concert and a cd release party this Sunday, May 20th. I have to admit, I got a copy of her new cd "Give Us These Days" early and I can't get enough of it. It opens with a smokin version of Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock" and contains a version of the Beatles' "Let It Be" that makes you feel like you're in a smoke filled Paris jazz club and a Sunday morning church service at the same time.
