Quad Cities (KWQC) - The first of two storm systems to impact our area is occurring right now. It will bring 1”-3” of snow to areas SE of the QC specifically from Macomb, IL to Princeton, IL with snow rapidly dropping off NW of that line. A second more potent system will roll into the area this afternoon bringing snow chances for everyone, with several inches possible. While there is still is some uncertainty with snowfall amounts and you will want to stay tuned for further updates, it appears we are on track for 3”-6” across the KWQC viewing area. This will be enough for First Alert Day to be issued from 8PM tonight through 8PM Thursday. This will also likely result in the coldest Halloween on record with highs only in the low 30s. Long term we dry things out and temps will eventually get back into the 40s by next week.
